The official teaser forDeadpool 3,now titledDeadpool & Wolverinedropped at the Super Bowl and it sent fans into a frenzy. the teaser promised a wild adventure Deadpool and Wolverine will undergo throughout Marvel’s history. The teaser featured the return of all the fan-favorite supporting characters from theDeadpoolfranchise, the TVA, and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine since 2017’sLogan.
However, one of the character’s returns might be slightly confusing for casual viewers. Morena Baccarin’s Vanessa is seen in the beginning of the teaser which will throw some people off as she was killed by an assassin inDeadpool 2.

The promotional campaign has officially begun forDeadpool 3as the teaser of the film dropped at the Super Bowl. Ryan Reynolds returns as the wisecracking mercenary now faced with the responsibility of changing the Marvel Universe. Among the many returning characters in the film, the return of Morena Baccarin’s Vanessa might be jarring for some people.
One might recall that Vanessa was killed during the beginning portions ofDeadpool 2by an assassin who tracked them down. Reynolds’ Deadpool then goes into a deep depression and tries multiple times to kill himself to no avail. So, one might question how the character just popped up in the teaser for the upcoming threequel.
There is a simple answer to this which is in Deadpool 2 if one manages to stay all the way to the mid-credits sequence in the film. In the scene, Yukio and Negasonic Teenage Warhead repair Cable’s time-traveling device. Deadpool then goes back in time to right before Vanessa is shot and manages to save her.
Vanessa is expected to have a pivotal part in the film amidst the big multiversal nature of its plot. The relationship between the two characters is one of the core elements of Deadpool’s arc and it remains to be seen what new element they bring to their relationship this time.

Morena Baccarin is set to appear inDeadpool 3as Vanessa, reuniting withRyan ReynoldsafterDeadpool 2. The actress was interviewed for her new film with Pierce Brosnan titledFast CharliebyScreenRant. When asked about what audiences should expect from her character in Deadpool 3, the actress promised an evolved relationship between Wade and Vanessa.
Baccarin stated that Reynolds and Shawn Levy have done a great job at evolving the relationship between the two characters and bringing a new angle to it with this film. She loves the fact that the two characters are emotionally connected and not presented as a cookie-cutter relationship. She said,
“I think it’s really cool that they are such well-met characters and that their lives… you may see them in and out of each other’s lives constantly. The comic, it’s the same way. So I think that the franchise and Ryan and the director, they’ve done a really great job of always reinventing that relationship and making it interesting, but maintaining the core thing that keeps them always coming back to each other. So I think there’s a little bit more of that in this film.”
