TheDead Space Remakefeatures quite a few twists and turns in its narrative when the Valor crashes into the USG Ishimura - thwarting Isaac’s and the other’s attempts to escape the Necromorph-infested ship. Towards the climax ofChapter 8: Search and Rescue, you will find yourself arriving at the Valor, to begin your objective of salvaging the Singularity Core. Despite your current objective, you will instead find yourself postponing your plans to handle a nuke set to go off at any moment.

Chapter 9: Dead On Arrivalkicks the situation into overdrive once your current objective is replaced by a new one. Hammonds will inform you about an unstable nuclear warhead aboard the Valor, thus tasking you todispose of the warhead. This objective is a finicky task that can prove to be quite an annoyance - that is if you are unsure of what to do. Before you may dispose of the warhead, however, you must first make your way to theTorpedo Bay.
Heading To The Torpedo Bay
Once you have received the objective to dispose of the warhead, make your way over to theBriefing Room - Lower Decks. Next, take a right. Towards the end of the long hallway you have just entered, you will encounter a new enemy type known as aTwitcher. Twitchers are frenzied and sporadic variants of Slashers, proving to be remarkably fast and unpredictable.
To make things worse, Twitchers are also quite resilient to your Stasis Module - as, although they are affected by it, they will break out of its effects much sooner than other enemy types. Luckily, there is quite a distance between you and this new enemy, granting you enough time tosever the legs first with the Plasma Cutter. Once done so, move on to the other portions of its body to dispatch it effectively.
Continue down the corridor, and you will encounter adoor to the Briefing Roomand acargo lift to the leftof it. Attempting to ride the elevator will cause it to malfunction, and the power cell operating it will be ejected from its slot.
From here, you will need tolocate another power cellto get the lift running again. This power cell can befound in the Briefing Room, just between the entrance to the room, and the door to the Airlock.
Removing the power cell willalert another Twitcherto your location, along with anInfector. This time around, the Twitcher will be pretty close. Utilize your Stasis Module to slow it down briefly, focus fire on its legs to sever them, and then move on to firing at its other limbs to put it down for good. You will also want toquickly dispatch the Infector. Leaving it unattended will allow it to spawn additional Slashers - that is if you have not stomped the various bodies lying around the room.
Once you have taken out both enemies, use your Kinesis Module toinsert the power cell into the slot to power the cargo lift. You are now free to take the lift down to the next level of the Valor.
Upon arriving at the next level, you will find the door to theTorpedo Bay to your left- which can be unlocked bysevering the circuit lockto the right of the door. But before entering the Torpedo Bay, we recommend you use the Save Station in the area. This will prove useful in saving your progress so far, should anything go wrong in the next portion.

Disposing Of The Warhead
Now that you have gained access to the Torpedo Bay, you will need todispose of the warheadlocated in the center of this area. Before you can do that, however, you will need todeal with two Exploders- one of which is trapped to the right side of the bay, while the other has free roam of the entire area.
Though this enemy type is usually easy to deal with by detonating their signature explosive sacs, you will want to avoid doing that here - as any form of explosion within this room will cause the warhead to detonate. Instead, we recommendsevering their armswith the Plasma Cutter - thus making it easier to take them out without their primary means of attack.
Once you have dealt with the Exploders, you may then proceed to handle the warhead. To dispose of the warhead, start bysevering the six circuit breakssurrounding the warhead with the Plasma Cutter.
Next, take the power cell(located next to the trapped Exploder you had to deal with earlier) over to theslot on the left-handside of the room. Inserting the power cell into this slot will power the terminal in front of the warhead.
All that is left now is tointeract with the terminalto eject the warhead from the ship. Once done so, you are free to resume salvaging the Singularity Core.
