Cyberpunk 2077is one of 2020’s biggest games. So, it’s only natural that CD Projekt Red goes big with its soundtrack. The artists behind theCyberpunk 2077soundtrack have been revealed, with some big names attached to the upcoming RPG’s music.
In a new video from CD Projekt Red, we get an introduction to the musicians behind the music ofCyberpunk 2077. Groups and artists such as Run the Jewels, Grimes, Refused, and A$AP Rocky all express their excitement for being a part of the game’s soundtrack. Here is the full list of artists that will feature music on theCyberpunk 2077soundtrack:
Back in July,CD Projekt Red released a song by the band Samurai (stylized SAMURAI in-game) titled “Chippin In.“This is the band Keanu Reeves' character, Johnny Silverhand, fronts. However, it isn’t Reeves who is actually performing the song. It is actually the band Refused who crafted the hardcore sounds of Samurai.
If you missedThe Game Awardslast night,Grimes performed her new song “4ÆM,” along with a video inspired by the world ofCyberpunk 2077. The artist will also be voicing the character Lizzy Wizzy in-game. As you probably expected, Lizzy Wizzy is an incredibly popular pop star in theCyberpunkuniverse. You can check out the performance for yourself below.
With Grimes playing Lizzy Wizzy, Refused as the band Samurai, and Keanu Reeves as Johnny Silverhand, I wonder if all the people behind theCyberpunk 2077soundtrack will be named characters in the game’s universe. The aforementioned is all we know for right now, and the “Behind the Music” video doesn’t state any of the artists do. It would be pretty wild if CD Projekt Red was able to get all of these artists to be characters in its dystopian world. But then I remember Kojima got Mads Mikkelson, Geoff Keighley, and Conan O’Brien in his video game, which means anything is possible.
Cyberpunk 2077is set to launch for PC, Xbox One, and PS4 on June 28, 2025. The dystopian sci-fi RPG will also be available for Google Stadia at a later date in the same year.
