Recently, a post was shared onGameFAQsleakingsome of the messy situationsthat the developers behindCyberpunk 2077have experienced in the last few years, but now a CD Project RED employee marked them as misinformation on the company’s forum.

Cyberpunk 2077experiencedan unexpectedly rough launchin December last year, which might’ve already changed some of the fans' faith in the Polish developer. The game was launched on last-gen consoles with some major technical problems that made it totally unplayable on base PS4/Xbox One consoles. With a considerable part of players asking for a refund on last-gen consoles, Sony has decided to remove the game from PlayStation Store for PS4 players.

Following the messy situation that CD Projekt RED faced afterCyberpunk 2077’s launch, there were rumors pointing at the game’s rushed development process which led to cutting a lot of major content from the final product. It was also suggested in the rumors that the foreign investors of the project and the top managers of CD Projekt RED had forced their ideas and opinions into the game over the original developers.

However, in a new comment onCD Projekt RED forum, one of the company’s employees marked all those rumors as false information and said:

We usually do not comment on rumors, but this is simply not true

Although the quotes and information mentioned on the rumor post could be false, CD Projekt RED obviously can’t deny thatCyberpunk 2077was launched with some of the promised content cut from the final product. The most notable cut content of the game is probably the existence of two other legendary characters besides Johnny Silverhand that never happened, despite the fact that it was promised by developersin the marketing programsof the game.

Cyberpunk 2077is currently available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, PC, and Stadia. You can check out DualShocker’s review of the gamehere.
