Brace Yourself Games, the developer behind the rhythmic dungeon crawlerÂCrypt of the NecroDancerannounced near the end of September that the indie title will be receiving the physical treatment early of next year. The developer may be more recognizable for their partnership with Nintendo developingÂCadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the NecroDancer Feat. The Legend of ZeldaÂwhich released last year along withDLC packs which just recently came out in the past few monthsas well as receiving a physical release later this month.
Announced via theÂCrypt of the NecroDancertwitter pageand theBrace Yourself Games website, there will be a Standard Edition and Collector’s Edition of the game. The Standard Edition will come with the Amplified DLC, full-color manual, and CD which includes tracks from the Amplified DLC. Those who pick up the Collector’s Edition will receive everything in the Standard Edition along with a steelbook, an exclusive “Cadence” bandana, and an enamel pin.
Pre-orders for either edition will begin on October 23 with a planned release date of July 26, 2025. The Standard Edition will sell for $29.99 with the Collector’s Edition coming in at $49.99. This release will only be available for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. As of now, there is no information as to whether this will be purchasable at major retailers or directly through Brace Yourself Games. My best advice is to keep an eye out on theÂCrypt of the NecroDancerÂTwitter page and to check in on October 23 to see if there is any news regarding where pre-orders will be taking place. Despite the physical release being for only Switch and PS4, you may still purchase the game digitally on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, PC, Linux, Mac, and iOS.
