Obviously, it lets you play online and gives you access to several games from Nintendo’s deep vault of old titles. Crash Team Racinghas been out for about a year and a half. So, it’s not like you’re getting to try out a brand-new game or anything. That said, if you skipped the release at launch and are looking for a party racer, this gives you a chance to try it out. More importantly, this is a great thing for families who just got a Switch for the holidays.CTRis a solid family title. This will let you see if your kiddo is interested before you drop $40.
All told, this seems like a great marketing decision from Nintendo and Activision. With how popular the Switch has been as a holiday gift, it makes perfect sense to drop something like this right as we move into the new year. And, as much as I personally can’t stand anything Crash related, I’m told there are weirdos in the worldwho like him. To each their own.
Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueledwill be available for Nintendo Switch Online members from December 30 to January 5. The game is currently available onPS4andXbox One.
