As reported byEuroGamer, the upcoming open-world horror adventureChoo Choo Charleswill be launched on August 06, 2025, as the developer officially reveals the release date for the highly anticipated indie title featuring a spider train as the lead antagonist in a new trailer!
If you don’t follow the news for indie games, Choo Choo Charles might not sound familiar to you, but it is already an anticipated horror experience coming from a small independent development team that has worked on a few smaller games previously. As a first-person adventure, Choo Choo Charles is set in a fantasy world where an evil spider train is hunting people, and it is up to you to gather enough resources and send Charles to hell.

Navigating an open-world village with an old train, you will need to keep completing different missions to earn new weapons, scrap parts, and strength to be able to summon Charles and fight with him. That being said, the spider train will always be in the shadows, waiting for you to make a mistake. Players will be able to leave their trains to complete quests, meet settlers, or change the railway path, but they will always feel the pressure of Charles as he can find you unexpectedly everywhere. Once the player has enough firepower, he can summon Charles for the final fight, which will decide the fate of the player and the spider train.
Choo Choo Charles is mostly famous because of its fearful gameplay you will always feel a spider train following you, and you need to be fast with whatever you are doing. Despite the fact that a spider train might not sound as scary as one of thoseResident Eviljumpscares, the fact that you are mostly followed by a giant spider train is what can make Choo Choo Charles feels as intense as a realistic horror experience.
Choo Choo Charles will only be available on PC through Steam. You can add the game to your wishlist now, but there is no opportunity to pre-order it before launch. Choo Choo Charles will be a single-player experience.
