Conor McGregor is no stranger to the spotlight. Whether it’s his stunning knockouts inside the octagon or his bold trash talk outside of it, the UFC champion, 36, has carved out a name for himself that’s iconic. But this time, the headlines aren’t about his fists—they’re about a legal storm that’s threatening to knock his public image.

Nikita Hand, accusing Conor McGregor of s*xual assault, became emotional in court while watching CCTV footage of the night in question.

A woman has filed a civil suit against the MMA star, accusing him of a serious and disturbing crime—s*xual assault. McGregor’s lawyers are doing their best to protect his image and reputation, but with the media spotlight firmly fixed on the case, it’s clear that this will be a fight unlike any he has faced in the octagon.

Recently, the alleged victim, who is pursuing civil damages against McGregor, took the stand in court. As CCTV footage from the night of the alleged assault was shown, she was visibly shaken. The footage was reportedly being used by McGregor’s defense team to argue that it contradicted her version of the events.

What Has Conor McGregor’s Legal Team Said About Nikita Hand’s R-pe Allegations Against the Roadhouse Actor?

Nikita Hand’s Shocking Allegations Against Conor McGregor

A civil s*xual assault case was brought againstConor McGregorin the High Court in Dublin on 25 June 2025. The alleged incident took place in December 2018 and has now resurfaced in the formof a legal battlethat is capturing public attention.

The woman at the center of these claims is Nikita Ni Laimhin, who is also known as Nikita Hand, a 35-year-old hairdresser from Drimnagh, Dublin (viaDailyMail).

It all began one fateful night in December 2018. Hand was out with colleagues, enjoying the typical revelry of a night out. After a few drinks and substances, she reached out to McGregor, whom she had known for years through mutual friends (seeBBC). According to Hand’s account in court, McGregor invited her and a friend to join him at the Beacon Hotel.

Hand described the footage as “very disturbing”, explaining that it didn’t reflect her true character due to the trauma she experienced.

She claims that McGregor, after picking them up in his car and escorting them to a penthouse suite, became aggressive. Despite verbally expressing that she wasn’t interested in s*x—and making it clear she was not there for that purpose—McGregor allegedly pinned her down, placing her in a chokehold.

What followed, according to Hand, was a violent and traumatic assault. She described being overwhelmed by fear, constantly thinking of her daughter, and fighting back in any way she could.

A civil sexual assault case was brought against UFC star Conor McGregor in the High Court in Dublin on 5 November 2024.

In the aftermath, Hand says she woke up in a state of panic (via BBC). In the days that followed, she sought help from the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre and confided in her friends and mother about what had happened.

However, pursuing legal action wasn’t smooth. Hand’s path was complicated by the statements made by McGregor’s co-defendant, James Lawrence, which didn’t align with her account of the night’s events (seeRTE).

As the details of Nikita Hand’s case against UFC star Conor McGregor unfold in a Dublin courtroom, the woman’s emotional testimony highlights the complex reality of her allegations.

The court has heard harrowing details of her version of events, but when CCTV footage from that evening was played, it seemed to offer a different perspective, sparking a fierce back-and-forth between her and McGregor’s defense attorney, Remy Farrell SC (seeLaois Nationalist).

The footage, taken from a lift in the hotel on the night of the alleged assault, shows Hand with McGregor and Lawrence, at one point appearing to kiss McGregor’s arm and even hug him. Farrell quickly seized on this, suggesting that the footage contradicted Hand’s account of being assaulted and left her in a state of fear for her life. She said:

That CCTV footage doesn’t take away from what happened to me in that room with Conor. I know what happened. I was brutally r*ped and battered.

Her distress was palpable in the courtroom as she described the footage as“very hard to watch,”telling the court:

It’s me, but it’s not my character. It’s very disturbing for me.

As tears welled in her eyes, she explained that the footage didn’t change her version of events, no matter how unsettling it was to relive that night.“You can see how vulnerable I am,”she added. The emotional toll of the cross-examination was evident.

She admitted to deleting text messages from the night but explained she did so because“I was afraid for my life.”

Farrell continued his line of questioning, also pointing out that a phone call had been made from Hand’s phone to McGregor shortly before 6:30 pm on the day of the alleged assault. The former asked why someone who claims to have been assaulted would want to “have a chat”with the man she accused.

Hand, still struggling with the emotions of the moment, responded that she had no recollection of making the call nor any clear explanation for why it had happened. Anyway, this CCTV footage may support McGregor’s innocence, but the emotional weight of the victim’s testimony keeps the truth in question!
