Johan Pilestedt, the man who played a key role in makingHelldivers 2one of the most popular third-person shooters in the world, has announced that he is stepping down as the CEO of Arrowhead Game Studios, appointing Shams Jorjani as the new CEO.
This move may benefit the community as Pilestedt announced that he is now the Chief Creative Officer of Arrowhead, which will allow him to focus more on the games with theHelldivers 2team. Pilestedt is well-known for interacting with the fans and taking their feedback to improve the game.
This change comes shortly after Sony and Arrowhead received backlash from PC players for implementing the PSN account linking policy. Hopefully, Pilestedt’s new position will allow him to bring some major changes toHelldivers 2since many fans believe that the game’s hype is slowly dying.

Johan Pilestedthas announced onXthat he is no longer the CEO of Arrowhead Game Studios and Shams Jorjani will be taking over his position at the studios. He wrote,
Hey everyone, – Big update, I’ve decided to hire [Shams Jorjani] as the new CEO of ArrowheadGS! We go way back and I wouldn’t trust the business in any other hands than his. (…and he comes with an impressive resume and love for games) – But what about me and my involvement in Helldivers 2? Well, I’m glad you asked! I am taking the role of Chief Creative Officer, which means I will spend MORE time with the team and 100% of my focus on the games and community!
Jorjani has previously worked with Paradox Interactive for 12 years. As for Pilestedt, he will still be involved inHelldivers 2.
