One of 2024’s surprise hits,Black Myth Wukong, is getting a physical version very soon. While most AAA games these days have a physical (read: disc) version, more often than not, it houses a game activation key, which means players will need to download the game data from the ‘net via said activation key. Thankfully, that won’t be the case with Black Myth Wukong’s physical version.
This was confirmed by the official distributor of the Black Myth Wukong PS5 physical version, PM Studios. In an announcement on Twitter/X, the distributor confirmed that “everything will be on disc and no internet connection is required.”
When Will Black Myth Wukong’s PS5 Physical Version Be Released?
While Game Science announced the PS5 physical version justyesterday, and we know it will cost $65 according toonline retailers, there’s no word yet on when the disc version will be released. Reliable leaker Billbil-kun mentioned that it would be available today, October 21, but laterstatedthat what they found was the listing date.

Black Myth Wukong is an action game with Souls-like elements developed by Chinese studio Game Science. While this is the studio’s first AAA game, you wouldn’t know it, as the game based on the Chinese folklore Journey to the West has an impressive rating of “Strong” onOpen Critic, and review scores even point to itbeing a Game of the Year contender.
