With the trailer, the development studio also offered an August 20th date for the game’s launch on PC and PS5.The release date for Xbox Series X/S has been delayed.Game Science revealedthe game needed further optimization to meet the quality standards of the Xbox platform and will release the game as soon as possible as it continues to develop to meet those standards.
In the same notice,Game Science revealed the game release will primarily be digital, with physical editions of the game coming after the August 20th release. Instead, any physical editions purchased at release will include an activation code instead.

Game Science andBlack Myth: Wukonghas been the subject of skepticism. Since the initial February 2021 trailer, many have questioned whether the studio would be able to complete the game or if Game Science would be able to produce a game as polished as the initial trailer suggested.
However, if the final trailer is to be believed,Black Myth: Wukonglooks to be a visually fantastic game while offering intense gameplay. If the in-game experience is the same as the gameplay in the trailer,Game Science looks poised for a huge payday for their efforts.
