“You ruined our Christmas”: Ashton Kutcher Gave Beyoncé the Worst Christmas of Her Life
According toPeople, a source revealed that the hip-hop mogul said something inappropriate to the sisters that made Solange snap. The source shared,“When they got in the elevator, it escalated quickly the way family tensions can. It got exceptionally heated the way family moments can.”The fight effectively ruined what happened to be an otherwise great night for Beyoncé.
When the couple arrived at the party, they appeared very happy. From what sources shared withUsWeekly, the couple was very affectionate with each other. There was a point when theSingle Ladiessinger dropped her jewelry and he picked it up and gave it to her in a proposal pose.

A source told UsWeekly,“Beyoncé had the biggest smile,”adding that they entered the party“arm-in-arm.”The after-party was held at the Boom Boom Room at the Standard Hotel, where insiders shared that Beyoncé and Solange danced with Naomi Campbell. Jay-Z allegedly took his seat near one of the fireplace areas.
However, the next thing the insider saw was the trio leaving the party abruptly. People’s source shared that Solange was earlier provoked at the party by fashion designer Rachel Roy. The source also added,“Solange is super protective of Beyoncé.”

Beyoncé didn’t interfere in the fight and tried to put the situation past them
The video footage showed that Beyoncé largely stayed out of the fight. The Us Weekly source also confirmed the same, stating,“Beyoncé tried to stay out of it. She does not approve of violence. They are trying to put the situation past them now.”However, she and Jay-Z later issued a public statement addressing the family issue after the footage leaked to the press. The statement read (via People):
The most important thing is that our family has worked through it. Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other, and we have moved forward as a united family.

Solange also made a statement, sharing,“What’s important is that my family and I are all good.”Jay-Z added,“She’s like my sister. I will protect her. That’s my sister, not my sister-in-law. My sister. Period.”
Beyonce’s Mother: Tina Knowles’ Nationality and Ethnicity Explored
Beyoncé’s lack of reaction was later studied by an expert who stated (via Daily Mail):
Beyoncé’s lack of reaction is amazing. It suggests that Beyonce either agreed with her sister’s point of view or she was completely obsessed with protecting her brand. The singer’s lack of physical reaction implies that she has in all likelihood witnessed this type of behavior from Solange before—which is why she doesn’t look particularly shocked.

While the incident didn’t look pretty at all for the family, nothing after it suggested that Jay-Z and Solange held a grudge against each other. The moment was later mentioned in monologues on Late-night talk shows.
