WhileBattlefield 6’s Open Beta will be available to play in the coming weekends on August 9-10 and next from August 14-17, the game lets you preload it so that you are ready to join in on the fun as soon as it starts.

However, what EA and the fans may not have predicted was just how much hype the game already has, and this is only from its official announcements and leaks.
If you try running the game now to tinker with your settings, you will be surprised to see that the servers are already full even though the Open Beta hasn’t started yet, and you will be put in a queue.
Astweetedon X (formerly Twitter) by user Kieran, their queue position was 49,660. If you are added to a queue, you will be met with the following message:
The game servers are currently at max capacity. You have been placed in a queue. You will be connected to online services as soon as there is available space.
At the time of publishing this article, my queue position was 520, which didn’t last long, and I was able to log in a few seconds later.
Depending on the time of day when you log in and on which server you are, if you are lucky, there may not be a queue at all. Our team checked in different regions and platforms, and the game loaded just fine. However, these reports of server overload appear to be concentrated in the NA region, and the problem could increase as the game opens for early access tomorrow.
Having to go through long queues isn’t really a new experience, and the worst case of this in recent times happened whenOverwatch 2launched. Blizzard did manage to get the server issues fixed as the days went by.
But in Battlefield 6’s case, this is an Open Beta. If the EA servers aren’t able to handle that many players, there is a good chance that some people may miss out on the fun. Luckily, since the game will have another Open Beta run, things should be better the second time around (if they aren’t already fixed this week).
It is important to note that just having the game preloaded isn’t enough; you will also need to update your graphics drivers to the latest version, otherwise the game may not work. Additionally, if you are a new player, you will also have to create or sign in to your EA account and link it to your Steam, Xbox, or PlayStation account.
