InBaldur’s Gate 3, if you convince Rolan and his two siblings to stay andhelp out the Tiefling refugeesat the Druid Grove, you’ll meet them again in theShadow-Cursed Landsin Act 2 at the Last Light Inn. Only this time, they’re missing two members of their party: Lia and Cal.
Rolan will be understandably upset as he was defending the Tiefling children from the Cultist attack when Lia and Cal were abducted. He’ll head out into the Shadows to try and find them and bring them back fromMoonrise Towers.

Where Is Rolan
Despite his lofty claims,Rolan never makes it to Moonrise Towers. If you’re on the ‘Good’ path, you’ll eventually save Rolan’s kidnapped siblings duringRescue the Tieflings quest, which sees you breaking them out of the Prison under Moonrise. If the siblings make it back to theLast Light Inn, talk to them, and Lia will plead with you tobring Rolan back to safety from the cursed lands, starting the ‘Find Rolan In The Shadows’ side quest.
Rolan’s Location In Act 2
Rolan can be found to the east of Moonrise Towers, past the Tollhouse, towards the southern beach. From the Moonrise Towers Waypoint, head directly east over thebroken bridge. As soon as you cross it, you’ll encounter a fight.Two Shadows are fighting Rolan, trying to kill him. When you get into range, you’ll automatically enter Turn-based mode for combat. Take out the Shadows as soon as possible to prevent Rolan from dying.
After the fight, a cutscene will trigger with an angry Rolan. Exhausting the dialogue here will result in him returning back to theLast Light Inn. Teleport to the Inn using the waypoint, and you’ll find Rolan and his two siblings besideAlfira. Talk to them, and you’ll be able to complete the quest ‘Find Rolan In The Shadows’ once and for all. You’ll be rewarded with200 xpand a fair amount ofgoldfor your help.
