Patch 8 forBaldur’s Gate 3is finally here. It has fixed one of the most frustrating glitches in the game, one thatterrorized Honour Mode playersand made Act II’s infamous puzzle dungeon even more annoying than it already was.
The residents of theForgotten Realms campaign settinginDungeons & Dragonshave yet to invent lifts, but they don’t need to, as magic can accomplish the same thing. This is why places like the Gauntlet of Shar have magical lifts, as servants of the Mistress of the Night can’t be bothered going up and down stairs all the time.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Mod Lets You Romance The Devil
A new Baldur’s Gate 3 mod has added a romance questline for Raphael, the mighty devil who tempts the player throughout the entire story.
Unfortunately for Baldur’s Gate 3 players, the lifts had some really annoying AI bugs that could potentially screw with their run. Luckily, thenotes for Patch 8on the officialBaldur’s Gate 3 websitehave confirmed that the glitch has finally been fixed.

The Gauntlet Of Shar Moving Platform Bug Is Finally Fixed
According to the patch notes, the moving platforms in the Gauntlet of Shar now function properly. This change was necessary because the lift would sometimes move on its own and leave characters behind, causing them to drop into the abyss and die.
Luckily, there are ways to bring characters back to life, such aspaying Withers a feeat the camp, but if the entire party falls, then it’s game over. If this happened during an Honour Mode run, then the run has ended, which means many hours of difficult combat encounters were all for nothing.

It’s surprising that it has taken this long to fix the moving platform glitch in the Gauntlet of Shar, considering that fans have been complaining about it for a long time. Thankfully, those looking to try outBaldur’s Gate 3’s new subclassesand go for one more run won’t have to endure the horrors of Shar’s lifts anymore.
