There are a lot of people who believe that Anchor Beings were probably a one-and-done thing withDeadpool & Wolverine. However, the rumors of the ‘chosen one’ type character becoming a part of the MCU have been swirling around since 2023.

An industry insider has revealed that there will be at least four Anchor Beings in the upcoming Avengers films, and there are some very likely candidates that I think will be instrumental to the two Avengers films.
We are aware that Logan functions as the Anchor Being for his universe, which leaves three slots open for the two Avengers films. There has to be one Anchor for the main MCU, and one for the Fantastic Four Universe that will be introduced inThe Fantastic Four: First Steps.

Further, Marvel might be keen on treating the X-Men like a separate universe from Deadpool, so that another character may appear as an Anchor Being from the X-Men lineup. There are a slew of candidates that could serve as Anchor Beings inAvengers: DoomsdayandAvengers: Secret Wars.
Spider-Man, Wolverine, Reed Richards: The List Goes On
It is expected that a slew of characters will be making their way into the MCU from outside it once again. Tobey Maguire,Hugh Jackman, andChris Evansare all prime candidates to be Anchor Beings.

However, I believe that there is a way to figure out how the Anchor Beings will be chosen in the Avengers films to come. According toindustry insider Alex Perez, the number of Anchor Beings in the films is going to depend on how many universes converge in them. He said:
Depends on the number of universes that are going to converge in the next 2 Avengers movies. But right now, we have at least 4 anchor beings showing up.

Tom Holland’s Spider-Man is already rumored to be the Anchor Being of the MCU. This could be supported by the fact that a simple memory spell that was performed on him had such multiversal consequences. The fact that he was dusted by the Infinity Stones and the universe was still intact for five years might have an explanation, in that he was restored to the timeline in a much shorter gap than Logan.
One of the other two anchor beings could be a villain
Doctor Doom is set to be the next antagonist in the Avengers films, and it would make a lot of sense if he were the Anchor Being for the First Steps universe. This would not only push the Avengers to be more careful with how they deal with him, but killing him off would not be an option.

As for the other Anchor Being, this will need to be related to the mainstream X-Men, someone who is not Wolverine. This could be a character like Magneto, or perhaps someone like Jean Grey.
Rounding out all the factions of the Marvel Multiverse, these Anchor Beings could be the emotional cores of the film. Wolverine’s arc fromDeadpool & Wolverinecould be continued in Avengers 5 and 6. This could focus on uniting the various factions in the Marvel Multiverse under one banner, giving viewers a glimpse of how these factions would function together.
