Assassin’s Creed Shadows' PS5 Performance Modes Detailed Ahead Of Launch With Surprising Ray Tracing Support
Ubisoft has shared details ahead of launch about Assassin’s Creed Shadows' PS5 Performance Modes including support for Ray Tracing.
To prepare you for this infiltration, my Temple of the Horseman walkthrough will discuss everything you need to know to efficiently complete this quest and get to Oda Nobunaga’s quarters.

Make sure you’re adequately prepared for the quest regarding gear and levels before accepting it from Lord Mitsuhide.
How To Find Oda Nobunaga
Oda Nobunaga’s private quarters are deep within the inner temple courtyard. You’ll need to get to his room to trigger the latter section of this quest.
From where you start on the rooftop, I highly advise going forward from the sidelines while crouching or being prone right next to the animus wall barrier, as I’ve showcased above.

A few enemies might notice you, but as long as you’re prone and keep moving, you won’t get spotted that easily, especially on normal difficulty.
I’ve provided some additional pointers belowin case you want to try doing the infiltration at your own pace:

The Inner Courtyard
Partway through,a crevice in the wall leads into the next courtyard.Go through it and hide in the well to take out the enemy standing there.
From the well, there’s a haystack right in front of itwhere you can hide and take out an enemy as well as his patrolling buddy.

Make sure to use Eagle Vision to survey the enemies and mark them using your observer feature from L2.
Keep moving forward via the rooftops, and you should eventually reach your objective:Oda Nobunaga’s quarters, with Yasuke also there with him, as shown above.
Of course, the front and sides are heavily guarded by guards. The only suitable option is to go through the backside entrance.
As I’ve demonstrated in the video above, from the right side, quickly grapple to the roof via the bushes. It’s a risky move that will almost get you caught, but if you’re quick, like I’ve shown, there should be no trouble.
From the back, take out the patrolling servant with the lamp and, if you can, lure the nearby guardso you can get an air assassination on him or attempt to use your kunai to take him out.
If you’ve used a couple of your rations, restocking them from the ration boxes in the area for the upcoming boss fight is highly advised.
Once you enter Oda Nobunaga’s quarters from here, it will trigger the final section of this quest.

How To Defeat Oda Nobunaga
Naoe successfully provides an infiltration for Mitushide’s forces to launch their attack on the temple. In a desperate act, Nobunaga instructs Yasuke and his other followers to get to the gate.
Left all alone, it’s just Naoe and Nobunaga, which triggers a duel to the death between both.I’ve listed the major attacks of Oda Nobunaga below for his boss fight:
Pattern / How To Counter
Two-cut sheathing combo
Two blue-colored sword slashes that can be parried to make Oda vulnerable.
Three vertical cuts
Three unblockable (red-colored) strikes. If evaded precisely, it can make him vulnerable.
Downward three slashes
Three blue-colored slashes where Oda will launch a double-handed sword strike from above with the first slash. Can be parried.
Poke combo
Oda will launch an unblockable combo of two or three slashes with a poke at the end. The last poke can hurt a lot, so dodge to the side if possible.
Running slash
From a distance, Oda will charge at you with an unblockable slash followed by another one from the side.
The boss fight isn’t too hard if you can get off your parries on time and evade unblockable attacks.Naoe is a nimble fighter, so make sure to rely on your rations for healing when necessary.
I chose the Kusarigama as my weapon in this fightdue to its ranged heavy attacks, which can help chip away at enemies' health.
Upon defeating Oda Nobunaga, the quest will be completed and move into a series of cutscenes and transitionary quests, where you rescue Naoe and Junjiro using Yasuke to kick off the next act.
Once you get free reins again, you will get access to Yasuke as a playable character and can now switch between the two protagonists in the game.
