Ubisoft Responds To Assassin’s Creed Shadows Leaks, Players Should “Stay In The Shadows”

Ubisoft isn’t too happy about this whole thing, and their advice to players is simple.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows Is The First Assassin’s Creed Title Developed And Designed For Current Generation Consoles

As such, there are more modes that can be offered to console players on current generation machines, especially on the recently released PlayStation 5 Pro.

The base PlayStation 5 version of Assassin’s Creed Shadows offers the following three modes:

Assassin’s Creed Shadows' Climbing Restrictions May Put Naoe At A Disadvantage

Players wanting to use Balanced Mode should note that this mode is only available for players using a television or monitor with a 120/240hz display and HDMI 2.1.

The PlayStation 5 Pro version of Assassin’s Creed Shadows offers three modes as well:

The requirements for achieving balanced mode on the PlayStation 5 Pro are the same as with the base model of the system; the player will need a 120/240hz display in order to select it.

Ubisoft Clarifies That The PS5 Pro Is The Only Console With Extended Ray Tracing Support

This means that ray-traced reflective surfaces should display as such all throughout the game’s world.

Most PS5 Pro players will have to make the choice between playing at 60fps in performance mode and standard ray tracing or playing at 30fps in Fidelity mode with the extended ray tracing.

120/240hz televisions or monitors that also offer HDMI 2.1 are still relatively new and not as common at the time of writing.

A shame, as it offers the best of both worlds at the same time.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows

No matter what mode players select, PS5 users wanting to put their console through its paces will be the only Assassin’s Creed Shadows players able toexplore, leap, and assassinate their way throughthe game world with extended ray tracing.
