To be specific, Ghost is in Assassin’s Creed Shadows as a Bakaneko - a unique supernatural being that’s apparentlyvery difficult to find. A literal ghost, the in-game cat is apparently quite friendly, and will “bond for life” according to the in-game description.
Even among players, information about ghost cat is pretty scarce - but it’s a nice find, with a cool bit of real-world history for those who can spot it.
