Although Ubisoft has already confirmed the existence ofAssassin’s Creed Infinity, we are yet to get a first look at this project. However, a fan-madeAssassins Creed Infinitytrailer built upon Unreal Engine 5 could give you an idea of what a next-genACwould look like.

Looking at the past, we have heard rumors around anAssassin’s Creedgame set in Japan many times, but it has never happened for any of the mainline entries of the series.

The future of the franchise is unknown yet, as Ubisoft has already invested in a multiplayer-basedAssassin’s Creedtitle calledInfinity, but we don’t know whether it’s the next mainline entry or the French publisher is cooking up something else.

With all the information we have, it’s almost impossible to guess what the newAssassin’s Creedwould look like and how this could differ from the previous iterations, but thanks to a talented Unreal Engine 5 creator, you may now check out a fan-trailer forAssassin’s Creed Infinityset in Japan!

Assassin’s Creed Infinity Could Be a Real Masterpiece If Developers Do Pick Japan As the Main Setting

Created and shared byTeaserPlay, the trailer above is a jaw-dropping demo project built in Unreal Engine 5. This is truly amazing and feels magnificent to have a game set in such a beautiful location. Aside from the incredible visuals thanks to the sheer power of Unreal Engine 5, the animations look superb as well.

We have seen the old Japan in many different games so far, but gamers always love to explore the incredible lands of this beautiful island more and more. The last game that masterfully depicted Japan was Sony’sGhost of Tsushima, but we do expect more games to set their destination to Eastern Asia.

Unfortunately, the project above is only a small tech demo and doesn’t feature any playable sequences, but it could be a hint for us to set our expectations for the future of theAssassin’s Creedseries.

Unreal Engine 5 is now available for free on PC via Epic Games Launcher.
