As perreports, a former rock star, Aharon Jason Curtis is at the center of this controversy and he has claimed that the writers of the show stole his idea for a supermarket app that was incorporated into the series.
Moreover, Curtis is demanding a compensation of $1.5 million because according to him, the app is a direct copy of his original concept. In the series, Schwarzenegger’s character’s son develops a supermarket app called ‘Maisle’ and after the show’s release, Curtis has asserted that it is nearly identical to his app ‘Aisle.’

Edward Johnson, who is Curtis’ lawyer has sent a legal letter to Netflix, Skydance Television, and Blackjack Films. The document accuses them of “copyright infringement,” “trade secret misappropriation.” and “unjust enrichment.”
Curtis is ready to receive the settlement and forego the matter, but if they do not comply, he will take the matter to court. The document also outlines that the app is not only similar in concept but also in the name, and is featured seven times in the first four episodes.
