Armored Core 6ramps up the traditional Armored Core experience, taking the already destructive mech battler and intensifying it a thousandfold - matching it to other modern FromSoftware titles, which brutalizesbeginners. Between the massive and most difficult boss battles,Armored Core 6 is littered with minor villains, many of whom put up a difficult fight.

Sulla, the pilot who seems to know a bit too much about Walter the handler, is the first such in-battle mini-boss who packs a punch.

How To Beat Sulla

Sulla is located at the halfway point of the final mission in chapter one. Once 612 clears their infiltration route of small mech teams and enormous pulse cannons, they make their way across a long bridge. About halfway through, Sulla introduces himself upon the top of a giant wall before pummeling toward 612. Sulla is fast and can be ferocious, but he also leaves himself open to plenty of attacks, many of which will debilitate him before long. Stay focused on pelting his AC long enough to stun him by reducing hisimpact meter, then unload on him with the beam saber and any other artillery. 612 should be able to eliminate him after one-to-two breaks.

Useful Mech Builds

There were two builds that felt particularly useful in the battle with Sulla. The first was an amalgamation of medium and heavy parts with a focus on plasma missiles, the long-range charge rifle (the Curtis), and the beam saber. The long-range pulse rifle that charges also deals great damage to Sulla when used with the Curtis, but the Curtis charge felt more effective. This build saw Sulla downed with relative ease, but it did take a little while longer to topple the merc compared to a more agile build. Still, it was a safe bet, and612 never seemed to be in actual danger of destruction. This build is featured in the image above.

The other build, which made the battle more efficient but did leave 612 open to greater damage, was theNacht set. This set is available before the mission, andit turns 612’s AC into a speed demon. The key here is to equip the AC with plasma missiles, two machine pistols, and the beam saber on the shoulder (usable by switching the left-hand weapon with the shoulder via theWeapons Bay OS add-on). Since Sulla does not have the ability to deflect incoming weaponry, the pistols will dole out fast damage and keep his break bar from recharging while the plasma missiles and beam saber will knock him out entirely. It is very important to dodge with precision here becauseSulla’s launcher can completely stun 612 in this build(or at least interrupt it enough to make it susceptible to more damage). Either way, enjoy the moment of victory when Sulla perishes, as the mission is far from over. Resupply the AC thanks to a drop from Walter before proceeding to battle the game’s first devastating boss:Balteus.
