Element ShardsinARK Fjordurare used to craft one of the most important materials in the game,Element. However, with a world map aslarge as Fjordur, it can be fairly overwhelming for players to head out in search of theseElement Shards themselves. Players looking to tackle theendgame bosseswill definitelyneed some Element, so it’s a good idea for players tobegin farming Element Shardsas early as possible.
Element Shards can be used tocraft various Tek structures, such asTek Walls,Tek Roofs, orTek Staircases, and can additionally be used as fuel forTek BowsandTurrets. They are used topower Tek structures, and tocraft Element, which is an ingredient forcraftingpowerful Tek armorandweapons.
Where To Find Element Shards In ARK Fjordur
There are a few different locations around the world where Element Shards can be found, but there isone clear hotspotthat players shoulduse to farmprimarily. This location is inside a cave in theFire Wyvern’s ravine, which can found atlatitude 89.4, longitude 71.2, totally exposed at the surface. It is amassive ravinethat travels from northwest to southeast, and is home tomanyFire WyvernsandMagmasaurs, but also countlessElement Shards. Players should bewell-equippedto put up agood fightbefore venturing in, and shouldhave a powerful creatureby their side.
Descend into this ravine and head in thesoutheast direction, using your GPS to guide you. At the far end of the ravine, you will find asmall cave opening, with somepurple crystalsabove and around the opening.
Inside this cave, there is avery clear paththat players can follow. Follow this path untillatitude 93.2, longitude 91.1is reached. Here,the path forksinto two directions, and players will want tohead right, following thepurple crystals.
Players should continue to hug the right wall as they follow the path, and at the far end of the room, they willenter a downwards cave openinginto yet another room. The coordinates for this room arelatitude 88.1, longitude 92.6–so players may verify that they are in theright spot. Here, there is adrop-off into a lava poolto the immediate left, and it is down here where element shards can be found.
Carefully drop down to this lava area, and on the rock to theimmediate left, players can find acluster of red crystals. These red crystals are where Element Shards are obtained, sosimply mine themto collect loads ofElement Shards. Red crystals like these ones can be located all around this area, and if playersfollow the lava, it will open into amuch larger area with even moreto find. Additionally, loads ofBlack Pearlsan be found scattered throughout the red crystal clusters, though players may want toclear the room of Magamasaursfirst.
