Arcanestarted and ended with a bang, with fans claiming it was one of the best video game adaptations ever. However, fans are mourning the loss of their beloved characters since the showrunners aren’t vying for a new season.

But there is no need to grieve for long since Christian Linke has revealed his plans for the future. The showrunner confessed that they had been working on a different series based on the popular multiplayer game that will hit the screens soon. Other characters from the parent show are also scheduled to get their storylines in future spin-offs, creating a sort of cinematic universe for all.
The first hint: Shifting the spotlight from the main characters
ArcaneSeason 2 Act III started from where the previous arc left with Jinx (voiced byElla Purnell) left shattered by Isha’s (voiced by Lucy Lowe) loss and others wary of Viktor’s (voiced by Harry Lloyd) revenge. The finale managed to evoke emotions and tears from every dry eye within the mile, concluding with a satisfying character arc for all. The series’ core focus remained on the shared dynamic between Viktor and Jayce (voiced by Kevin Alejandro).
The hard-hitting themes of death, war, and destruction were beautifully integrated with the final ending as all characters underwent their metamorphosis. The end of such a show understandably devastated fans who wished for a renewal.

But the series’ co-creator Christian Linke had good news for fans who wanted more from the franchise. The showrunner had previously hinted at the possibility of a spin-off series based on the popular game (via Games Radar).
We spent nine years at this point on these 11 or so characters, so there’s also something about wanting to make sure that we are able to tell the stories of other characters that we’re also really passionate about.

This pretty much confirmed the hypothesis that side characters apart from the main four, from the show could be getting a new platform. An entirely different show set in the same universe in a different or perhaps the same timeline had fans just as excited.
A new multiverse: Get ready for more action
The previous tease coupled with his new confession about the future of the series has fans in an uproar. While talking to a streamer on Twitch, Linke confirmed that many characters from the show are set for their series (via Games Radar).

The showrunners are supposedly gunning to create a cinematic universe of their own, planning to introduce other fan-favorite characters. Although many hoped for the show to be renewed for another season, hearing the possibility of seeing other characters brought to life made them just as happy.
