Johnny Depp has made it clear in his recent social media post that he might harbor some ill feelings for Elon Musk. While he did not address the Tesla founder directly, he shared he has no account on X, a platform owned by Musk. It was alleged that Musk and Heard had a secret relationship and the allegation was explored during the Depp v Heard trial in 2022.

During the trial, a Virginia jury ruled in favor of Johnny Depp in his defamation case against Amber Heard. The jury largely sided with Depp against Heard, finding her liable for defaming the actor with her op-ed article for The Washington Post. After several appeals, both parties reached a settlement.

Johnny Deppissued a statement onInstagramrecently, asking his fans to be wary of the online scammers posing as him or his team members. He shared that these scammers were targeting his fans and supporters by creating multiple social media accounts and impersonating him. He shared that these scammers use AI tools to create the illusion of his face and voice.

In order to combat the scheming scammers, Depp revealed all his official social media channels in the post for the awareness of his fans. While Depp has an official account on all major social platforms, he refuses to have one on X. It is not surprising considering his relationship with the current owner of the app,Elon Musk.

During the Depp v Heard trial in 2022, Depp had leveled allegations against the billionaire (via Yahoo!). He claimed thatAmber Heardhad cheated on him with Musk, something she vehemently denied. Musk took her side, sharing that they didn’t engage in a relationship until after she had filed for divorce from Depp.

Interestingly, Heard also mentioned Musk’s name while providing evidence against Depp in a London court in 2020. She shared that her ex-boyfriend Musk was the one who provided her with security when she shared that she intended to obtain a restraining order against her then-husband Depp.

Depp’s lawyer also brought out the text messages between the two, which showed that Heard had informed Musk about her plans to obtain a restraining order against Depp. Given the strenuous history with Musk, it is highly unlikely that Depp would ever consider joining X.

After her divorce from Johnny Depp, Amber Heard dated Elon Musk for a year until 2018. In Ashlee Vance’s biography of the tech entrepreneur, he shared that he first met Heard during the filming of the 2013 film,Machete Kills. However, he shared that they did not pursue a romantic relationship until four years later.

Speaking of his romance with Heard, Musk shared in the book,“It was brutal”(via E! Online). Heard had her first child in 2021 via surrogacy and many speculated that Musk was the biological father of the child. It was also reported that Musk and Heard created cryopreserved embryos together during their relationship (via Forbes).

Amber Heard has been largely distant from the media and public for the past two years since her case fell apart in 2022. Heard eventually settled it with Depp outside the court after appealing the verdict for months, butthe damage to her imagewas already done.
