Quick Links
One of the defining features ofAlan Wake 2is the incredibly dense map filled with tons and tons ofhidden itemsand collectibles that are cleverly camouflaged to confuse players. Even the most dedicated explorers will miss out on a few of these simply because of their sheer number. Luckily, there is a way to make the search easier: revealing themon the map.
There are two ways to reveal collectibles on the map. One method for Saga Anderson and another one for Alan Wake. The methods don’t overlap, so if you unlock Saga’s ability to reveal collectibles, Alan won’t get the same ability until he unlocks his version of the buff duringhis parts of the game.

Like everything else with Alan, his method of gaining new abilities is by investing points inWords of Power. In this case,Word of Stuff: Tourist Mapreveals all collectibles in Alan’s immediate area, just like Mayor Setter’s charm does for Saga.
Words of Stuff are among the rarest Words of Power Alan can get, and there are currently only two known locations to get them in the game.

Word of Stuff #1
Initiation 5: Room 665
Oceanview Hotel
You’ll be able toenter the Oceanview Hotelin Initiation 5 and head up to the second floor. Once there, you’ll encounter a bar in a room lit with red, demonic lighting.Walk up to the bar and look up. You should see a Word of Power on the ceiling. Interact with it to get your first Word of Stuff.
Word of Stuff #2
Initiation 8 - Zane’s Film
Poet’s Cinema
You’ll find yourself in the Poet’s Cinema in Initiation 8 as Alan. Open the map and look at the top left corner of the map, and you should see an area marked as Rooftops with a section marked as Spotlights. Head to this location and look towards the adjacent buildings. You’ll find the secondWord of Stuff on one of the surrounding walls, half-hidden behind the corner. Flash your torch at it to get your second Word of Stuff.
You only need one Word of Stuff upgrade to get your hands on the Tourist Map. To do so, enter Alan’s writer’s room and select the Words of Power prompt on the writer’s desk and select Words of Stuff. There will be three options here. Select the one saying ‘Tourist Map’ to gain the ability to see nearby collectibles as you near them.

Using Maps To Reveal Clues
Both Saga and Alan will also encounter maps during their respective sections of the game that will reveal items like Cult Stashes and areas of interest on the map.
