However, the show creators revealed that it was always in their plan to bring the character back.Jac Schaefferspoke about the same in an interview withSirius XM’s Jessica Shaw, where she revealed further information about Peters’ character.
Once it was an Agatha show and it was gonna be a spinoff and we were gonna return to Westview, I mean, even before that I was like, ‘If it’s Agatha, there will be songs, there will be costumes, there will be Evan Peters.’

She stated that the return of Bohner’s character was an original part of the blueprint of the show even when they didn’t know the exact episode. The creator then teased the importance of his role, which according to her was not just for the sake of a cameo.
I knew that we were gonna do that and I think kind of quickly, I think we settled on it being [episode] six because we knew the pilot would be the misdirect Mare of Easttown. Kind of its own bubble, and then episode two would be the pilot proper.

Unfortunately, he didn’t just suffer at the hands of Wanda’s manipulations but also under Harkness’s control. The character then reappeared in the spin-off series, still appearing to be visibly haunted by past events. The showmaker’s statement of him having an important storyline in the future has fans thrilled.
