Ahead of the 25th anniversary ofOne Piece, the anime decided to take the drastic decision of going on a hiatus, and it is going to be the longest break that the series has taken. The anime announced that they had decided to go on a 6-month hiatus and would return in April 2025, right ahead of their 25th anniversary.

The news was taken with bittersweet opinions, as they felt that it was the right thing to do following the show. However, the fans were optimistic that would overcome this dry spell as the manga would be there to keep them hooked on the Shonen series.
However, a recent announcement from a fan page of the title stated how Eiichiro Oda has decided a similar fate to the manga and fans are not loving it on social media.

The community believed that the seriesdeserved this break for all the right reasonsand that it was too close to the source material. Though some fans were disheartened but felt that this long period could be passed seamlessly as the manga would be there to keep them entertained.

Recently, Pew (@pewpiece) took to X, where they stated how fans are in for some bad news becauseEiichiro Odais taking a“two-week break to recharge and gather new ideas for the manga.”The fans can’t believe it because they have to live two weeks without their favorite title.

The news of the manga going on a hiatus was a bolt from the blue to the fans because on Sunday the news of the anime adaptation going on a break, followed by the manga following the same route as well.
Though some fans questioned their existence for the next two weeks, the ardent followers of the grand series felt that Oda-Sensei deserved this break as he kept giving them a magnificent storyline following Monkey D. Luffy and his Straw Hat crewmates. They commented,
