It’s a great day to be a horror fan as Paramount Pictures finally released the official trailer forA Quiet Place: Day One, the prequel to the famed John Krasinski thriller franchise. The upcoming movie will follow brand new characters, and as the title suggests, its focus will be the very first day when the Death Angels attacked the Earth.

The main cast includes Lupita Nyong’o, Joseph Quinn, Alex Wolff, Djimon Hounsou, and Denis O’Hare. Since this is a prequel, it’s unlikely that Emily Blunt and Krasinski will reprise their roles.

A Quiet PlacePrequel Will Finally Answer The Most Asked Question About The Death Angels
Many fans have been anticipatingA Quiet Place: Day Oneas it will finally solve the very question of the story: how did it all start?
In the 2018 installment, viewers were already thrown into a world where silence is a weapon of survival. Certain sound frequencies attract the creatures, and once they find the source of that noise, they kill their prey.

A Quiet Place: 5 Key Facts Revealed In The Sequel
Interestingly, aReddituser shared an intriguing plot hole from the first two movies. While the aliens were prone to slaughtering their victims, there was not an instance when they consumed the dead. In fact, the characters noticed this, too.
“As you know from the first movie and probably trailers, the aliens have pretty much killed most of the people on Earth. Obviously, at some point, they will start to starve, but in the Quiet Place 2, the aliens never even tried to eat the humans. All they did was run around and kill them. So what gives? Do they just kill for fun and have no desire to eat?”

This is an opportunity for the upcoming prequel to enlighten the audience about the real deal of these sound-hating creatures. They do not really attack humans per se, but the noise that people create irritates them, and they want it to stop. The aliens will ruthlessly put an end to the source of their trigger no matter what it is. Afterwards, they leave the body.
The monsters have definitely overstayed their welcome on Earth, and the time that has passed since their arrival already poses the question: how do they survive if they don’t eat anything?

A Quiet PlaceWas Meant To Be A Standalone Horror Movie
John Krasinskiadmitted viaDeadlinethat he initially had no plans to make a sequel to the highly successful horror film. It’s just the circumstances demanded it, and he took the opportunity.
“The reason I decided to go back, in the end, was this world is so rich, and it’s so much fun to explore. There are so many different things to see now. Everyone else in the world is experiencing this, so I’m curious to see what that looks like from another perspective.”

Apart from the prequel, there is also the report of an upcoming third installment, a direct sequel to the 2021 film. So far, plot and cast details are kept under wraps.
A Quiet Placeis available to stream via Netflix.
