Well, here’s the list of some of the most powerful Chainsaw Man characters that have appeared in the manga and anime till now.

15Akane Sawatari
The huge credit for making the last few episodes of Chainsaw Man Season 1 electrifying goes to Akane Sawatari. She might look like a casual teenager with nearly no powers, but her contract with the Snake Devil makes her hard to deal with. That said, the first season put an end to her story, so we won’t enjoy her anymore in the upcoming seasons.
Akane can summon the Snake Devil at her will, and based on her command, the Devil attacks the enemy. For instance, by giving the command “Swallow it all,” the Snake Devil consumes the target completely. Similarly, by commanding “Spit it out,” she can bring back the enemy swallowed by the Devil, after which they will fight alongside Akane.
14Hirofumi Yoshida
Hirofumi got introduced in the manga in chapter 55 and is yet to appear in the anime adaptation. We have seen how many Devils are behind the Chainsaw Devil’s heart, so Hirofumi is specially hired to keepDenjisafe, and Makima considers Hirofumi a bodyguard specialist.
He has a contract with the Octopus Devil, allowing Hirofumi to use his tentacles to attack his enemies or tie them. The same can also be used for protection against a deadly attack, as he wraps them around himself. By saying the word “Ink,” he can create black smoke around his enemy to blind them, after which he attacks them.
13Katana Man
Katana Manproved his worth in the series’s first season by showing his exemplary combat skills and deadly moves. And together with Akane Sawatari, their team became nearly invincible for Aki and his teammates to handle. Denji turned out to be smarter than Katana Man, or else the latter would have easily defeated him.

Katana Man’s attacks are powerful enough not just to slash a person but also cut through walls and make deep holes in the ground. Using his special move, he could cut through his enemies in one clean sweep in an instant before the opponent could even respond. During his fight with Aki and Denji, Katana Man shows the remarkable skills of a professional swordsman.
Powerthinks too much of herself, but she’s not wrong. She is definitely one of the most prominent players in the series. Most significantly, she enjoys fighting rather than behaving like a chicken, like manyDevil Hunters, which makes her even more threatening to the enemies.
She is a Blood Fiend, which allows her to play around with blood as she sees fit. Her most prominent attack is the generation of weapons made with hardened blood. Although we have seen her fighting quite a few times in the series, we’ve yet to witness her full Devil form, which makes her several times more powerful.
The last episode of Chainsaw Man Season 1teased the introduction of Reze, but we have to wait for the second season to see her in full action. In the manga, she is introduced as a beautiful and caring girl who looks too sweet to harm someone. But don’t be fooled by her looks, as she’s one of the strongest Devils in the series.
Reze turns out to be the Bomb Devil in the later part of the series, sent from the Soviet Union to Japan for a special purpose. Her blasts are powerful enough to blow up cars and even nearby buildings. Even Shark Fiend and Denji’s combined attacks were not able to take her down.
10Angel Devil
Angel Devilresembles a girl but is actually a male character. He appears to be quite energetic and full of life, but in reality, he’s extremely lazy, which keeps him from becoming stronger. Still, he’s strong enough to make his way to the list of the most powerful characters of Chainsaw Man.

Angel Devil is hard to understand because of his dual personality of an angel and a devil. On one side, he believes that humans need to suffer, but his angel side makes him feel miserable about their death. His prominent ability is related to lifespan absorption. By merely touching someone, he can suck up their life. This absorbed lifespan can further be converted into a deadly weapon —the more the life span, the deadlier the weapon becomes.
Kishibe is one of the most trusted men of Makima, and he’s the one to train other powerful characters like Power and Denji — so you can well estimate his strength. Kishibe only speaks when necessary and has a stoic nature, but he kills the devils in the most brutal way possible. Years of experience in killing the devils have made Kishibe one of the strongest Devil Hunters.
When it comes to physical abilities, there’s no match for Kishibe. In one instance in the series, he broke a weapon made of Power’s hardened blood with simply a punch. Kishibe’s abilities far surpass a normal human being, making him a nightmare for the devils. Currently, Kashibe has contacts with Claw Devil, Knife Devil, and Needle Devil.
8Aki Hayakawa
Aki has been a prominent character in the series since the start, and we have already seen him engaging in real action quite a few times in the anime. Aki is skilled and powerful because of his contracts with the Fox, Curse, and Future Devil, which makes him the possessor of some exciting abilities.
Curse Devil grants him the ability to summon a nail-like sword that can inflict massive damage on the opponent. But the deal is that his life gets shortened while using it. As the name suggests, Future Devil lets him see a few seconds into the future and plan his moves accordingly. Finally, theFox Devilcan devour the opponents or shred them to pieces once summoned.
7Hell Devil
Hell Devil made its manga debut in chapter 63, and its terrifying form stands true to its name. It has a giant structure - faceless, with only its mouth open and its body covered in flames. His adaptation in the anime is surely highly anticipated.
In its second form, Hell Devil can change into a giant hand with six fingers emerging from a door in the sky. The Devil uses this ability to send people to hell. It only needs a little blood to restore its health when injured during a fight. Currently, the Hell Devil is known to have contracts with Santa Claus and Anti-Makima Squad.
Meet the Devil Hunter from China, also known to be the first Devil Hunter in the Chainsaw Man universe. We never got to see much of Quanxi, but whatever we saw was enough to confirm that she’s one heck of a fighter. Quanxi is always seen wearing an eye patch like Himeno, and she has been deemed a high threat to her rivals. Some believe that her physical strength might even surpass Kishibe.

Once Quanxi wields her sword, she can slash hundreds and thousands of opponents without breaking a sweat. In her hybrid form, she can yield several arrows from her arms and head and shoot them all at once.
