X-Men ’97has been released to rave reviews, with just two episodes taking the world by storm. With the introduction of Morph, the team has expanded its roster to be more inclusive and has decided to develop and adapt some classic X-Men stories from the comics, much to fans’ liking and adoration.

Given how much respect the show is giving to the source material, it would not be outside the realm of possibility that the series could incorporate some of the more modern storylines into the show, ones that were written afterX-Men: The Animated Seriesended. This could include one of Marvel Universe’s most recent additions to its mutant neck of the woods: Escapade, a trans mutant with a unique ability that writers can have a lot of fun with.
Escapade’s mutant ability is just bonkers
Escapade’s abilities are some of the most unique powersets that audiences have seen in comics in a while. Her abilities allow her to switch her situation with anyone 7 feet away from her or closer. This not only applies to physical situations but also powers and such, basically allowing her to switch her abilities with those of another being. While the timer on the switch is just a few hours, this is something that has great creative potential story-wise and in a combat situation, something that has already been well-received by fans of the comics.
Escapade makes her first appearance inMarvel Voices: Pride #1, which is an annual one-shot that specifically celebrates LGBTQIA+ characters and stories within the Marvel Universe. Escapade has been well-received by fans for her unique mutant abilities and would be a perfect fit forX-Men ’97. Given that the show has taken to introducing Morph into the X-Men, it would not be outside the realm of possibility to have the line-up future another LGBT+ character who would have a unique move set that could complement the team. Ever wondered how fun it would be if the entirety of the X-Men accidently swapped powers?

X-Men ’97has taken the world by storm
X-Men ’97, with its breathtaking animation, plenty of nostalgia, and straightforward storytelling, has taken the world by storm, as fans cannot help but praise Marvel’s return to form in a way that has set the precedent for superhero stories. There have been rumors circulating that Marvel is trying to revive the entirety of its 90’s animation lineup, which would includeIron Man, The Fantastic Four,andSpider-Man.
X-Men ’97might have a connection with the MCU, given that mutants will be making their feature-length debut in the franchise withDeadpool & Wolverine. Given that the MCU has a set pattern of introducing mutants as they appear inX-Men: The Animated Series, but played by actors that played them in the Fox franchise (such asPatrick StewartinDoctor Strange in the Multiverse MadnessandKelsey GrammerinThe Marvels). The end of the series may directly tie intoDeadpool & Wolverine, prompting us to see a slew of characters in the film, perhaps even an entire X-Men roster in their proper costumes.
