Starfieldis a dream come true for Bethesda Game Studios. The developer has crafted several iconic franchises likeFalloutandThe Elder Scrollsbut this new ambitious space title was a passion project for the team. However, the game lacked one key feature for an open-world game.

It is bizarre to believe that Bethesda Game Studios didn’t include a proper interactive map system in the latest title and instead allowed the players to wander aimlessly to let them figure it out for themselves. Fortunately, an upcoming update later this month will remedy the problem and then some.
Starfield Will Finally Have a World Map in the Next Update
Almost every massive video game has a feature for players to open a world map, mark checkpoints, and plot the best path to take, however, it seems like Bethesda Game Studios wanted to remove the idea of having to spoonfeed the players and let them explore at their leisure. Unfortunately, it only hampered the progress of players and the developers made it a priority to provide a map in the next update.
The Starfield update looks great, with, yes, arguably many things that should have been there from the get go.

I may head back in when Shattered Space comes, but not sure.
New city and world maps look awesome though! Much needed.#Starfieldpic.twitter.com/NJG0O78Woq

Todd Howard served as the CEO of Bethesda and the director of the ambitious space game was invited to theKinda Funnypodcast hosted by Greg Miller. During that interview, the directorhinted at the potential release windowof theShattered Spaceexpansion which is expected to arrive later this fall and confirmed an update will drop this month.

A 16 Year Old Mirror’s Edge Manages to Do What Starfield and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Can’t
Among the few complaints the community had about the game was its visuals and performance, and the developers will address the issue in the coming update and will finally allow the players to play the game at an uncapped frame rate. Theupdate is a much-needed oneand will invite more players right before the release of the expansion.
Bethesda Is Finally Making Some Improvements to Starfield
It is awkward for the developers to add these features so late into the game when they should have been there right from the start. Nevertheless, it is a good indication that Bethesda is listening to the opinions of its fans and addressing them rather than ignoring them like so many other developers. The expectations are highfor theShattered Spaceexpansion and the fans are hoping it will deliver.
“Reminder Starfield was crucified for this”: PS5’s Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is Getting Destroyed, and the Console Wars Are Back
Howard intended the game to run at a locked 30 frames per second because it would benefit the visuals and the overall gaming experience. Perhaps the game can be later ported to the PlayStation 5 andit may run even betterlikeSea of Thievesand a few other Xbox first-party titles.
Bethesda Game Studios has high hopes for the original franchise and players could expect some more support from the developers beyond the expansion. The quality of life improvements are a welcome addition, however, many feel the improved UI, world maps, visual and performance boosts, and vehicles should have been present at the launch.

Starfieldmay be far from perfect but Bethesda is not giving up on the game and the players are extremely glad that it is finally reaching its full potential. Are you going to dive back in before theShattered Spaceexpansion? Let us know in the comments section below!
